Cultural Olympiad “Sochi 2014”

At the time of the 2014 Winter Olympics Sochi will become not only a center of world sports events, but the main object of cultural and leisure activities. Exhibition “Sport and the family of Romanovs”

In Sochi Art Museum on December 21, 2013 opened exhibition "Education of bodily powers. Sports and the family of the Romanovs" with items from State museum “Petergof” (as part of the Cultural Olympiad "Sochi 2014" and the 400th anniversary of the dynasty of Russian tsars).

It consists of 288 items (many of them the first time left the walls of "Peterhof") , among the most interesting – silver boat model of Peter I, lacquer panels with a jammed bullet which fired Anna Ionovna while hunting , as well as a saddle and harness of horse of Empress Catherine II. The exhibition will run until March 23, 2014.
